The Michigan Longbow definition, while similar, means a little bit more. Yes, they are a body of persons. Sure, they were selected to act in the above capacities. But, above all else, they asked for the responsibility. Every single council man and woman began life in the MLA as a member, but decided they loved the longbow and the organization so much they wanted to give back in whatever capacity they could. They are thinkers, leaders, promoters, organizers, and enthusiasts. Each is totally unique in thought and personality and joined the MLA for different reasons.
